Thought for Worship: “O Holy Spirit, descend plentifully into my heart. Enlighten the dark corners of this neglected dwelling and scatter there Thy cheerful beams.” - Augustine of Hippo
GATHERING
Welcome
Prelude
Call to Worship
Votum
This is the day that the Lord hath made, let us rejoice and let us be glad in it.”
Amen
Opening Sentences
Not a day passes that we see the work of your fingers,
the work of your wisdom, O God, and do not feel awe.
Sheep, birds, and fish,
you made with detail and care.
And then you made us: each formed from the earth. Fragile and strong, wise, with so much to learn,
we can’t help but sing your praises.
Let us worship God!
Salutation:
Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
Amen.
*Hymn of Praise Come, Holy Spirit, Heavenly Dove
Call to Confession
The triune God mercifully and graciously invites us into a relationship of wholeness. In humility and truth, let us confess the sin that keeps us from the life God intends.
Prayer of Confession
Holy God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, Mother, Lover, and Friend, one God in three persons, mutual and whole, we confess our relationships are not that way. We have been too selfish; or we have given too much; or we have accepted too little. Our sin drives us away from one another and from you. Forgive us and restore us. Draw us close that we may know life in all of its fullness.
Assurance of Pardon
God’s love is poured out through the Holy Spirit.
This is love from God’s own heart,
love that cleanses and renews.
This is good news!
In Jesus Christ we are forgiven!
The Law of God:
*Gloria Patri | #579
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost; as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen. Amen.
*Commitment to Peace Keeping and Peace Seeking
One: May the peace of Christ be with you!
All: And also with you!
Share a sign of peace with one another. After sharing the peace, let us all sing together:
Together, by grace, we witness and work, remembering Jesus, in whom we grow strong. Together we serve in Spirit and truth, remembering love is the strength of our song.
THE WORD OF GOD

Holy, Holy, Holy One, guide us by the Spirit of truth to hear the Word of life you speak, and to give all glory, honor, and praise to your threefold name; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Sermon: “ The Spirit Will Guide You into Truth ” | Rev. Campbell
Silent Reflection
THE RESPONSE TO GOD
*Affirmation of Faith (Apostles’ Creed)
I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth. I believe in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried; He descended to hell. The third day he rose again from the dead. He ascended to heaven and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty. From there He will come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.
Offering
Doxology Praise God from whom all blessings flow; Praise him all creatures here below;
Praise him above ye heavenly hosts; Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Amen!.
Prayer of Dedication
Prayer of Thanksgiving and Intercession (ending with the Lord’s Prayer)
Our Father, Who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy Kingdom come, Thy Will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the Kingdom, the Power, and the Glory forever. Amen.
