“They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers.”

— Acts 2:42.

Come to worship just as you are.

Whether you are full of faith or filled with questions, you are welcome.  Whether you have known Jesus your whole life or don’t know the first thing about him, you are welcome.  In worship we bring our whole selves and our entire story into the presence of our Triune God expecting that he will reveal himself to us through the passionate preaching, celebration of the Sacraments, heartfelt prayers, and beautiful hymns and songs.

We are a Reformed Church, which means our worship rhythm or liturgy is distinctly Reformed.  Each Sunday God calls us to worship, we sing a hymn of praise for God’s goodness and majesty, we confess the ways we have fallen short and lament the brokenness of the world, we receive assurance that God’s steadfast love runs deeper than our shortcomings and brokenness, we commit ourselves, as God’s forgiven, beloved people to following his way through the reading of the Law and passing of the peace, we listen expectantly to the Word read and preached, we affirm the core truths of the historic Christian faith, we offer our gifts back to God out of all that He has given us, we sing a sending song, and we are then offered a benediction to send us out into the world as Christ’s witnesses of justice, mercy, love, and peace.

Music/Choir

Under the direction of Larry J. Carey, the choir of the Peapack Reformed Church sings during the 10a.m. worship service,
September through May, and at special services and concerts throughout the year. Choir rehearsal is Sunday mornings at 8:30a.m.

The choir repertoire encompasses all periods of classical music from the 16th to the 21st centuries, gospel, spirituals,
and contemporary music as well as music from Sing! A New Creation and Sing the Faith song books.

Instrumental soloists and handbells are occasionally used as additional accompaniment to anthems.
One Sunday during the Advent season, Merynda Adams is our guest musician for the service.

If you would like further information on music at PRC or are interested in joining the choir,
please contact Larry J. Carey at larrsmm@aol.com.

Summer Music

During June, July, and August soloists and small ensembles provide music for the worship services. Some of the musicians are members of the congregation or guest performers providing both vocal and instrumental music. The guest musicians are underwritten by generous donors who have given contributions to the PRC MUSIC FUND.

PRC Music Fund

The PRC Music Fund provides additional funds to underwrite and sustain excellence in music at the Peapack Reformed Church. If you are interested in making a contribution, please contact Larry J. Carey, Director of Music at larrsmm@aol.com. Checks may be written out to Peapack Reformed Church with Music Fund in the memo line.
