|Rev. Alexander Kenneth Arthurs
Pastor Alex was born and raised in Holland, Michigan on the shores of Lake Michigan. He is a graduate of Hope College ('16) and holds bachelor degrees in Religion and Psychology. In May of 2019, he graduated from Western Theological Seminary with an Masters in Divinity and a Graduate Certificate in Disability Ministry. He was ordained as a Minister of Word and Sacrament at his home church, Fellowship Reformed Church on June 16th, 2019. Though this is Alex's first pastoral position, he directed an after school program at Calvary Church in Holland, MI during his three years in seminary. Alex is married to his best friend, Sara, and they live in the church parsonage in Far Hills, New Jersey. Alex enjoys reading, doing yoga, meditating, exploring new cities, going for walks, trying different craft beer, and following the Michigan Wolverines, Detroit Tigers, Detroit Pistons, and (sadly) the Detroit Lions.
|Larry J. Carey, Director of Music
In addition to providing music leadership for the Peapack Reformed Church, Mr. Carey maintains private voice studios in Somerville, NJ, and York, PA.
Larry founded and for 20 years directed the Bel Canto Singers of York, PA. This ensemble specialized in Renaissance and early Baroque music and performed extensively the area from New York City to Washington D.C.
Larry completed undergraduate studies at McPherson College in Kansas and graduate studies at Ithaca College, Ithaca, NY. He took extensive training in the art of handbell ringing and conducting at Westminster Choir College in Princeton. Over the years he has been active in several professional associations, including the National Association of Teachers of Singing, the Music Educators Association, the Choristers Guild and the American Choral Directors Associaton.
|Marisa Day, Director of Christian Education
Marisa Day joined the staff of Peapack Reformed last November, bringing over 20 years of professional experience as an elementary school teacher and Christian educator. Here at Peapack, her primary focus is to partner with parents in the faith formation of their children, offering opportunities for children to grow in their faith through experiential prayer, instruction, retreats, worship and service to others.
|Krista Larsen, Church Administrator
Church Administrator and Bookkeeper, Krista Larsen has been on the Peapack Reformed staff since 2009. She lives in Summit with her husband and two daughters. A graduate of Berkeley College, Krista is also a professional interior designer with a home-based business in design, sewing and drawing. She is also an accomplished German folk dancer.
|David Brownlee, Sexton
David Brownlee, Peapack Reformed Church sexton, was born in California and raised in Massachusetts, but New Jersey has been home for many years. A graduate of Connecticut College with a B.A. in philosophy and classical Greek, he also serves the Basking Ridge Presbyterian Church as their sexton and as a deacon and Stephen Minister. He is also a volunteer par excellence at the VNA Rummage Sale twice a year.
