Several students from the Matheny School have become regular worshippers with us on Sunday mornings.
The students enjoy being part of regular worship. Some special provisions need to be made of course: - getting into the building in wheelchairs, using straws at fellowship hour, assistance in following the bulletin and partaking of the Communion elements. But how wonderful it is to be included as part of the congregation during and after the service!
Remember Paul’s words to the Galatians:
...for in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith. As many of you as were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. There is no longer Jew or Greek, there is no longer slave or free, there is no longer male and female; for all of you are me in Christ Jesus” (Galatians 3:26-29)
In Christ Jesus, we are all children of God through faith, able-bodied and disabled alike.
