Today’s Scripture reading – the metaphor of Jesus as the true vine, God as the vineyard keeper, and the disciples of Jesus as branches of the vine – prompted me to do some research into growing grapes. So I would like to share with you a little of what I discovered through the Internet, and as we go along, we’ll see what we might make of it, theologically speaking.
