The Edwards family began their mission work in Mozambique on May 2, 2005.

The Edwards Family

Lance and Elizabeth Edwards and their two children, Katie and Ashton, visited our church on Sunday, August 22, 2004.  In their homily, they described their personal and educational backgrounds as well as the training that will equip them to be effective missionaries to Mozambique.

Lance, trained in environmental science, will be working to strengthen farming techniques and animal husbandry.  And Elizabeth, a nurse, will be reaching out to improve healthcare, especially among the children affected by AIDS.

The Edwards family begin their six-year assignment in Africa in May of 2005.  They will be living on a farm in a village with only solar-powered generators for electricity.  They plan to stay in regular contact with our church as much as possible.

Our prayers for their safety and success are with them.
